3 Reasons Why You Need to Hire a Content Writer
By now, you probably know that having blog content on your website is important. When you add posts to your site, you’ll increase your chances of appearing in Google searches. You’ll also have more content to share on social media.
So, if we know it could be the key to a brand’s growth, why don’t more websites have blogs on them?
Here’s the truth: high-quality content doesn’t write itself, and not every organization has the time to start a blog. That doesn’t mean you should abandon your SEO efforts! It just means you could use some help in the marketing department.
Today, we’ll talk about a few reasons why you should hire a content writer for your website. Whether you already have a blog or you’re just starting out, an experienced wordsmith can help you out!
ChatGPT Won’t Do it For You
You may know some organizations who are copying and pasting ChatGPT content onto their website. There are a few problems with this. First off, AI content writing tools aren’t always accurate. They regurgitate information they find on the web, which may or may not be true. If you use content that ChatGPT writes, you’ll have to fact-check every piece of information it spits out.
AI also struggles to capture tones and human emotion. Usually, ChatGPT responses are bland and sound stiff. If you want on-brand content, you’ll want a human to write it so they can match the vibe you’re going for.
It may take you just 30 seconds to ask ChatGPT to write a 500-word blog post for you, but trust me: it isn’t worth it.
2. You Can Only Do So Much
Many founders and CEOs wear many hats. They’re HR reps, salespeople, administrators, product developers, and bookkeepers - simultaneously. You don’t need the extra stress of managing your marketing, too.
It’s understandable why so many leaders get burned out so quickly. Playing so many roles is exhausting. Let a freelance content writer take some of that stress off your plate. Then, you can spend the time you would have spent writing on more important things, like your family and friends.
3. SEO Isn’t Easy
Sure, you could try to optimize your content for Google, but how familiar are you with SEO? Can you write blog posts that satisfy search engines while still drawing in your readers? You’ve probably seen websites that look like a robot wrote them. They were probably written by people who think SEO just involves stuffing blog posts with as many keywords as they can.
I use SEO tools to make sure I’m delivering content that will reach more people, but first, I write without using keywords. I then edit my blog posts to include keywords that blend in seamlessly with the rest of the content. If an untrained eye can’t tell your content is optimized for Google, you’re doing it right - but it takes a trained professional to be able to make that happen.
If you haven’t already hired a content writer, it’s something to consider, and lucky you - you’re on a content writer’s website! For more information about my work and writing process, contact me or sign up for my mailing list.
